This appears to be a reporting error of the usage not an actual loss of SSD life.
You don't, pull it out and put in a pcie adapter or in a m.2 slot. You may be able to upgrade in a usb caddy/adapter, but I have had mixed results doing that (Couldn't upgrade my Micron NVME drives unless was on native PCIE protocol)I have two of these Samsung drives in two different ps5's? How do you update the firmware when it's installed in a ps5?
