Just curious for those of you who might have an OLED and play games and do productivity too as to whether you have to switch HDR on and off in windows when you go back and forth from an office environment into a gaming environment and back?

Just wondering since I am 50/50 games/office what I might have to do differently when I get my OLED from what I do now with an IPS.

Why would anyone ever switch HDR off for any program? What productivity program would ever require having HDR turned off? But don't go by me since I'm using an LG 27EP950 which is the original real OLED monitor.
Well, that is why I am asking the question concerning using an OLED vs an IPS. On an IPS if you turn on HDR in productivity mode it looks horrible. Probably not so on an OLED, but I don't know since I don't have one yet.

I think the problem with your question is that it is very subjective, and yet everyone is probably going to answer with their own 2c, or argue with you about not needing to disable it. Personally I like HDR on productivity software, makes it easier for my middle aged eyes to read the content. I also have IPS displays. It does get a little bright but I don't mind. I am using DisplayHDR profile for both displays.

Celica, Thank you for your 2c and THANK YOU for being so mature and civil about how you said it. I have had so many people on these forums reply with condescending, holier than thou, replies that weren't necessary and it is nice to get a reply like yours.
