My Samsung M3 Portable 1TB External Hard Drive is not working. I have installed Samsung Drive Manager but when I open it, there is no information displayed on the interface and I can't select any drives or options (see screenshot). I can't seem to find any solutions already on this website but I think it has something to do with the fact that I installed Windows 10 recently. I haven't ever used this external hard drive to back up data, but I remember installing the drive manager about 6 months ago when I had Windows 8 and it worked fine then. Maybe this model isn't compatible with Windows 10? Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated.

System Specs:

HP ENVY m6 Notebook PC
Windows 10 Home

System

Processor: AMD A10-5750M with Radeon HD Graphics 2.50 GHz
Installed memory (RAM): 8.00 GB (7.46 GB usable)
System type: 64-bit Operating System, x64-based processor

Hi there Dopestick,

How is the drive recognized by Disk Management and Device Manager and how? Can you provide some screenshots?
As the drive worked just fine before, I believe it should be some sort of a driver related issue. You can see if this is the case if you just try the drive on another computer.

Apart from that, you can go to your MOBO's website and see whether your drivers are up to date.
Then, you can go to Device Manager -> Find the device and uninstall it -> unplug it and reboot system -> plug the drive back in.

Let me know how this goes,
