It doesn't need drivers but will communicate with Microsoft Outlook through the synchronisation procedure. Apart from that, Android phones don't talk to Windows programmes. To turn your Outlook contacts into the format Gmail and Android can recognise, you need to export every contact - one at a time - by clicking on File>SaveAs then VCard.
