[SOLVED] SAMSUNG HD204UI - Not mounted after sleep / during normal windows usage

Hello,

I have a little bit older SAMSUNG HD204UI 2TB drive which worked fine during the last years. Since 1-2 years I got troubles after the sleep mode of the computer: The drive was not mounted anymore and I needed to do a reboot (shutdown, start) to get the drive back. Not I have this issue sometimes during normal operation.

I am wondering if this is an configuration issue or if the drive is failing slowly?

I had a HDD failure once, but I came out of nowhere without any SMART issues reported. Here are the SMART values (converted to DEC):

u can try different sata cables (both data and power)

I doubt that it addresses your issue, though.
