Hi,

I just salvaged a Samsung HD103SI drive out of a cheaper external HDD and plugged it in. Naturally it doesn't appear in My Computer.

When I go into 'Disk Management' under 'Storage' in Computer Management, it's nowhere to be seen - not even as unallocated space.
The only place where it gets detected is the bios.

Specs:
Asrock 970 Pro 3 AM3+
Phenom II 965 Black Edition
8gb or Ram
WD Caviar Blue 500gb as a boot drive
GTX 560 1gb

Thoughts?

Update:
I managed to somehow make windows detect the drive, did a quick format to ntfs but when I try to put any files inside it, the transfer freezes and the drive disapears again.

Yes it is detected, ran a couple tests with 2 HDD testing softwares.
Here are the results:

From what I read arround the internet, this HDD is dead or almost dead.
Any way to revive/fix it?

Thank you all for replying.
It was just an HDD I was trying to salvage (used to be an external HDD) and no data was lost.
I guess Im not getting a free storage upgrade today... 🙁
