Samsung Magician on startup

Hi.

Samsung's Magician software in my computer boots along with Windows, even though it's box is unticked at the startup section of msconfig and has been for quite some time. How could this be, can someone help me? Damn thing keeps popping up when Windows starts, it's unseemly.

Check the 'Startup' folder. Not sure where it is in 8 but in 7 it is:
Start Menu > All Programs > Startup
You may find a shortcut for Magician in there, I did. Delete that and all should be good.

It's in the Task Scheduler. Go to Control Panel, Administrative Tools, then Task Scheduler, and click on Task Scheduler Library. You'll need to either disable or delete the task.
