So, i have a netbook, a mini laptop, precisely a samsung p200. the fact is, that two years ago i turned it on for the last time, let's say that even then it only started when it wanted, i had to turn the laptop on and off a few times before it posted something. after about a week of activity, i didn't turn it on again. even though it's from 200/2008, incredibly for me, it's still useful for basic tasks or tasks where i don't think it's necessary to buy a new pc dedicated only to that. anyway, i went to turn it on today, but it doesn't want to post anymore. this time also, the fan doesn't even start. only after a while when it realizes that it's overheating. i tried to change ram and cpu, and even tried to connect it to an external monitor, but nothing seems to work, tomorrow i'll try with its original power supply, but it should work anyway since now i'm trying to turn it on with a universal power supply. i specify that when it worked i didn't use it with its original power supply. I would like some advice on possible causes or maybe known problems of this laptop. last specification: it is likely that the cause could still be the processor because I only have 2 with me to try it, one of which was already inside. I don't think it is the ram since I had the opportunity to verify its functioning. what do you recommend?

most likely main battery or cmos/battery
charge about 24hours before trying to turn it on

remove hard drive and try turning it on

does it even charge? did you use a compatible power supply with the correct voltage, polarity and minimum wattage for this netbook?

It’s already withouth battery and hard drive ( the connector was too old and broke in the testing of other components swapping ). i think it’s charging because i see the led of charging ( even without the battery ) and the led of power on turns on, beven if it doesn’t post. i’ll keep you updated if tomorrow, when i’ll try with it’s original power supply, if it will change something. but if you have any more suggestion, feel free rtf reply anyway
