G'day people.

Been gathering information about 21-22" monitors the last days, and think that i'll either choose the Samsung 1200NF or the NEC FP1370. Any recommendations? And is there a diff in image quality between NECs FP1370 and FP1375X?

The most important is by far sharpness, since i mainly will code, and don't want blurry text at 1600x1200.

/Kind regards, luser...

Since both have a 0.24mm aperture pitch (odds are they use the same CRT) the differance should be minimal. However if you are writing code and you want clean text I would recommend a shadow mask monitor.

Yep... i have heard that also... Is there any flatfaced monitors that use shadow mask instead? If not, do companys really push the development of shadow mask monitors, or do i have to take one that really ain't "top-of-the-line".

Not that i want to say that the two monitors i mentioned initially really are top-of-the-line, but it's NECs and Samsungs best.

I understand that you maybe are a bit biased (monitordirect.com), but can u recommend any shadow mask monitors in the price-range of the Samsung or the NEC FP1370?

You could try the Samsung 900IFT, that's shadow mask and flat, I'm probably going to buy the 700IFT later this week. Perhaps the LG 915B? It's not shadow mask, it's Flatron (aperture grill without the horizontal support lines).

Me "I bought a TNT2 M64, the BIOS says its a Vanta"
IOMagic "Theyre the same card"
Me "Um, no"
