Both of these SSDs seem to show the same specs. The QVO is sold for $98 right now on Amazon and the EVO is $124. The EVO seems to still have buyers and great reviews. What would be the advantage of shelling out this extra money and would it be worth it?

The EVO will give somewhat greater sustained write speeds. The QVO will slow down a bit when the cache is full. The EVO will as well, just a bit later in the process.
This only happens during a long writing situation. Copying many GB to the drive, in one action.

Depending on what you use this for, that may or may not be an issue.
