[SOLVED] Samsung S8 Android 9.0 All Numbers being highlighted as phone numbers

Solution
I believe this is actually a (stupid) feature of the apps themselves and how they interact with Android.

I've had this sort of thing going on in Notepad Plus since long before Android 9.0, and have never figured out how to get it to stop.

All searches I get results on show coding changes that one would use to prevent this from happening if you're writing an app, and apparently it's on by default, so those apps that don't turn it off as part of their code have this happen "automagically."

I have hated this feature since day one.
You probably have some prediction enabled.

Kind of like autocorrect.

Otherwise, there wouldn't be any underline under digits.

All smartphones recognize 8 digits or more as phone numbers, but underline is strange there, or may be galaxy s9 works differently.

I don't have auto correct enabled, but now that you mention it I can't even find auto correction or prediction in the settings on android 9.0 anymore. Also clicking on any of these highlights opens up the phone
