Question Samsung series 450 Plasma TV PN50C450B1DXZA

I am looking for some help with my old tv, specifically with some picture settings. I figure it’s a long shot, but surely someone may be familiar with the tv.
I noticed that some of the screen is cut off when I’m playing Xbox games. To remedy this issue, I switch from what seems to be the default 16:9, to “Screen Fit”. Changing to the screen fit setting fixes it but after thirty minutes or so, the tv reverts back to a different display profile. I have no idea why it would change on its own.

Towards the end in user manual, page 146 (or there abouts as im looking on phone), check for the following.

Your settings are lost after 30
minutes or every time the TV is
turned off.

• If the TV is in the Store Demo mode, it will reset audio and picture
settings every 30 minutes. Change the settings from Store Demo mode
to Home Use mode in the Plug & Play procedure. Press the SOURCE
button to select TV mode, and go to MENU → System → Plug & Play -> enter

huh, I never considered that. I assumed it couldn’t possibly be in demo mode. Thanks for the advice, I’ll check that when I get home.

Yeah let us know. It should be that, makes sense to have such a feature if the tv is demoed in store and store person doesn't need to worry about changing settings back to default, it'll do it itself.

Well it certainly seems like it was on store mode but now the “screen fit” option is greyed out. I’m not sure what that would mean, perhaps not supported by the tv or I don’t have the right combination of settings on.

Edit: Once I turned the Xbox on, the setting became selectable. Thanks for the assistance!

That's normal, usually video settings to do with Hdmi connections requires the device to be connected and turned on. Happy days 👍
