Samsung SSD 830

Hello,

I bought a 128GB SAmsung SSD 830 for my new pc, but im not sure if the SSD comes with the latest software installed.

How can I update my SSD firmware without an OS?

I am updating my BIOS and would like to update my SSD firmware to have top notch performance.

On another computer, go to the Samsung site and download the bootable firmware flasher. It's called the "Firmware Update Tool." Click on Manuals and Downloads, then the sub-tab Firmware.

Since the process has the potential to brick the drive, proceed carefully.
