[citation][nom]ELMO_2006[/nom]I'm still trying to figure out how to watch a video and send email at the same time[/citation] It's called multi tasking, running a video in a window while typing an email. Hell you can even check your emails during a call, something the iPhone 5 cannot do.

First I have an Android Phone and tablet, I do also own an iPhone. On that note, I find it hilarious that fanboys call apple users isheep when our Android flock is far larger in size.

You came to an article that you knew was bashing the iphone, then you post how stupid everyone that doesn't like the iphone is?
(not @ me) I think we should think about this a bit. Are we bashing the iPhones or the company?

The iPhones costs the same as the Galaxies since the 3GS ($200), I paid $225 for my SGS1 2 years ago.
I own an iPad1... but the lawsuits from Apple over "rectangle with rounded corners" - pisses the hell out of me. I *WONT* buy the iPad4 or whatever stupid shit name they'll name it.

A few months ago, I considered buying the iPhone4 to replace my SGS1 as I'm happy with my iPad... and quite frankly, Android tablets have been sucking and many still stuck. I hate the 16:9 screen.

Since I've been using the Launcher7 on my Android Phone... because Android 2.x is... meh. So WindowsPhone7/8 have been on my list. I really like the Lumia 820 (but not going to at&t) not so much of the 920 (Hardware is excellent) - but the L900, as good as it looks - feels uncomfortable to hold... I don'
t know why... but it just does. But hatred for Windows8 also takes Lumia out.

I ended up with the Atrix HD. Its $100, has the same CPU as SGS3... same 1280x720 screen rez, a hair smaller - but the screen is brighter (Biz partner has the SGS3) and I like the theme & circle widgets built into it. No NFC is the only downer. The biggest reason I didn't want the SGS3... cheap-ass-glossy plastic. 1 week with my Atix has less finger prints than 30 seconds with the SGS3.

By all means, Samsung is not a perfect company (their TV support is crap and they rip-off their TV service contractors - royally screwed) - Apple's lawsuits are not valid. They are the #1 company in the world... and they are the "victim" of Samsung?

Its on the SGS3 that Samsung has made a truly good phone that is ahead of Apple. The iPhone5 is an excellent product. yeah, it doesn't have NFC - but nor does everyone else. Its a nice smaller size, its very thin, etc. I do like some weight. Each their own... okay.

But Apple? They suck donkey balls. Which is too bad, since this is good time to go after microsoft. But its obvious that Apple is far more threatened by Android/Google than brain-dead Microsoft. Was at the gym yesterday, girl that works there has a BB, I let her play with my AtrixHD for a minute - she isn't waiting for BB10. Her monthly is the same as mine... and her phone sucks.

RIM = DOA with BB10.
WP7 = Dead (1% of the market)
WP8 = Maybe 2~3% in two years.
Android... uh oh... the only iPhone threat.

[citation][nom]dalethepcman[/nom]what you are seeing from us isn't envy though, its pity.[/citation]
This point cannot be emphasised enough. How many of you waiting in line have picked up a Samsung GS3, or even seen one?

There are some very cool alternatives to iPhone that us "apple haters" wish you would open your mind and realise all those hyped features you crave have been available in stores for quite some time now.

P.S. Worth re-watching for the 'Phoooosh' guy ;-D

[citation][nom]tomtompiper[/nom]It's called multi tasking, running a video in a window while typing an email. Hell you can even check your emails during a call, something the iPhone 5 cannot do.[/citation]

I have iPhone 4 and can browse web, lookup maps while talking to someone. Please don't lie.

[citation][nom]cknobman[/nom]When we got there I talked my wife into playing with a demo Galaxy SIII. She immediately fell in love with it and decided to get that instead of the iPhone 4S. Ever since then she has been loving her GSIII.[/citation] What makes SGS3 shine quite a bit is Android 4.0. I never much cared for 2.1/2.2 or 2.3. But 4.0 is kick ass! 4.0 is pretty much the same on all brands, they may look a bit and work a bit different - but most of the functionality is the same. Fast, reliable, etc.

I too, always tell people to PHYSICALLY try out the phones.... don't just look at the dummy phones (no electronics). Apple is the only one who PAYS to have live-demo iPhones in ALL the phone stores. Check it out in Sams Club, Costco, small at&t phone shops. dummy phones. Big at&t stores have live phones.

Even thou the HTC One X is better in every way over the AtrixHD - I liked how the AtrixHD looks, I like its button placement far better than the tiny top-power button. I like the Android 4.0 on-screen menu buttons... which may work on any side. The Speaker on the AtrixHD is the loudest. Also, at $100 - it comes with a car-dock (with power adapter) which auto-changes the phone into a GPS/screen always on mode with bigger on-screen buttons.

[citation][nom]willard[/nom]No, it's the iPhone because it doesn't have the antennas required to do simultaneous voice and data on CDMA networks. My Verizon GS3 does simultaneous voice and data just fine, as did my Thunderbolt.So? It's still a higher resolution. "Why" it has a higher resolution is irrelevant.I challenge you to find a person who can tell the difference between 326 and 306 PPI in a blind test. Also, that new iPad screen that looks so fantastic, crisp and sharp? 264 PPI.Resolution is much more important than PPI.[/citation]
Its the network because I have an iPhone (have own a 3G, 4, 4S) on AT&T and I can do data and voice at the same time. In fact that is what AT&T uses to promote why the iphone its better in their network. Only AT&T and T-Mobile use GSM

Yes your iPhone 4 can do that, however the default signal the iPhone 5 uses (4G LTE) cannot do dual voice / data at the same time (limited by how the iPhone 5's antennas work in this mode). If you change the network setting to use the older 3G network, you can (what AT&T advertise as a advantage). Another iSheep not bothering to research anything about the product they are in line for.

Watch the video above again.

You have to admit that the differences are far greater than resemblances.
Android fans like their OS because it gives them the freedom to organize it the way they want, not the way Google wants, giving to each their own expression of individuality. At the same time, they are NOT blind fans of a piece of hardware, because they know they have a large gamut to choose from, and that only enhances their ability to make their phone their own. They will turn on a manufacturer in a heartbeat if they feel betrayed by that one, and embrace the next manufacturer that gives them what they're looking for.
iOS fans are more like iPhone fans - they like their hardware better than the software that runs on it - except maybe for the ones that have never tried a better OS - to the extent that they are willing to forfeit any chance of individualism. IDK what to call that, but there is a species that likes to form large flocks like that - hence the name "sheep" with an "i" placed appropriately in front of it. They have no alternative in terms of hardware or software, and they are trying to deny the fact that they're prisoners of their own devices, under terms that are not theirs but Apple's. "Corralled" comes to mind.
I, for one, hate using derogatory terms, and avoid them at all costs, unless someone tries to get personal with me, and even then, I keep it at a civilized level. I have noticed some Apple fans calling themselves "isheep", and I don't really get it: if you don't want to be called something, why call yourself that?

Oh, I forgot to tell you iHaters, I have an S3. I really do. Those who ask people to open their mind like the pcman guy, should really open your mind and try iPhone :) I am sure most of those haters who HATE iPhone or Apple haven't tried iPhone. If you never try iPhone, how can yo compare the Sx and iPhone? Again, like i said, it is very entertaining reading you iHaters comments; i can imagine, in my head, how pisssssssss.....ed off you guys are with iPhone or Apple or whatever from Apple. Maybe iHaters from around the world should get together and have a gathering every year like a picnic barbeque, you know, just to strengthen your bond together and reinstate your faith in hating Apple.

I am with Hspito on this one, even if you don't like Samsung it is a very funny commercial. I think there is something rewarding about a poor guy waiting in line to own a device that is going to be outdated in a few months... If it was a house or even, a car, I understand but a phone?

I wish i had the money for a Galaxy 3. I like Android the most since you can do the most on it without having to jailbreak it. I couldn't even download a app to watch southpark for free on my Iphone since it went ageist apple's dumb policy.

[citation][nom]nexus9113[/nom]Actually you have been able to do voice and data with the iPhone since the 3G. It's the CDMA providers (Verizon/Sprint) that don't do it because of how the network works. Also, the Galaxy S3 only has a higher resolution due to a physically larger screen which means it needs the additional vert/horiz count or there would be image degradation, but the iPhone 5 display has a higher pixel density (326 PPI vs 306 PPI) which will actually result in a sharper image.For a lot of people it's really just dependent on how much they've invested into either app store that determines whether or not they jump ship from one to the other.[/citation]
Actually according to Steve Jobs himself what really matters is the screen of a phone having a pixel density of 300 ppi. Anything higher is irrelevant because according to him our eye cannot resolve the pixels. So the image on the Galaxy S III will appear just as sharp as in the iPhone 5.

How do you now that if iPhone 5 isn't at hands yet? I can be wrong but I think you are speculating.

Obvious troll is obvious.

[citation][nom]samkl[/nomI have iPhone 4 and can browse web, lookup maps while talking to someone. Please don't lie.[/citation]
The issue people are referring to only happens on the CDMA iPhone. Of course this really isn't an issue with the iPhone but a limitation of CDMA. Almost all CDMA Android phones suffer from the same limitation, the only exception being the HTC Thunderbolt.

It's not the network, because it's not the network. I own two CDMA phones that can do simultaneous voice and data.

It's cute when fanboys refuse to acknowledge obvious shortcomings on their toys.

LTE phones can do voice and data at the same time on CDMA carriers, iPhone 5 has LTE but Apple decided to disable simultaneous voice and data on the phone.

Any LTE Android phone can do voice/data at the same time (I have a Bionic and can do it).
