i read allot of comics, a monitor that could natively and easily switch from wide to tall, would be a HUGE factor in if i were to get one or not.

but the failure to utilize a 16:10 resolution saddens me... i dont think i can go to 16:9 again, after 16:10 16:9 feels natural

Higher resolution professional monitors have been around for years. However, they were not LED displays.

Photo editing doesn't need a quick refresh. However, gamers may see a use for these as well.

How much for the 27" 2560 x 1440? I'd prefer 16:9 2560 x 1600 thou... it would be more PROFESSIONAL.

Sorry 2560 x 1440 (16:9) is not a professional display. 16:10 is professional because we get to work on 16:9 videos natively and having space for some buttons.

I dont understand why these are rated as professional mons.. at least not for photo editing!

The female doesn't look very pretty. With so much cosmetic surgery I'm sure Samsung could've chosen a better looking one.

$1000 is typical for a 27" 2560x1440 screens. Apple, Dell, etc.
