I always thought the touch tablet was a toy with no good place for consumers. I thought the phone ( at that time a G1) was good enough to do the job of a touch tablet plus it is portable. Now, I have a Galaxy S, and have discovered that I was right all along. The Galaxy S is so easy to use, and the screen is just the right size (4"). BTW, making a bigger screen with the same resolution as a phone's screen is dumb from a design point of view, and useless for end users. I still don't see why these things get media attention. I can see them as niche applications ( for artists for example), but the 4" screen phones are the way of the future, and tablets should be doom once having a phone with Internet access becomes more affordable for causal user (not the crowd reading tom's certainly). Also, reading the Nook app on Galaxy S is nice enough, so I see it getting into the e-reader turf as well.
