Wake me up when it drops to $300 , lol ... And yes given enough time it will ... Besides I'm not really in need of a curved display

You're out of your mind if you think the price will drop below $300 for a 105in UHD display! Given that logic the old 80in rear projector TVs can be had for that price.http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mitsubishi-73-inch-HD-TV-/321294115214I guess if you find a used one...

Firefox : have u read the article or looked at the pictures? It clearly states UHD ..UHD = 4K ..so this will be 4K or more , adjusted to fit its aspect ratio.MForce = get back to bed, its passed 5pm . 300$?When this beast will be at 300$ you will be battling with a chinese recycler to acquire its carcasse. .. On another note, it is about time we start seeing 21:9 large format screens. In a few years, most projectors will be pushed to extreme budget large screen setups and everyone with an HT room at home will be able to enjoy affordable 90-120" screens ( sub 10 000$ ...not 300$ ) It was predicted by some a few years back when we started seeing some chinese unknown manufacturers put up 100" 1080 LCDs. Vizio will be pushing prices this year on the 1080p large screens and market for 70" is growing because the prices are now "possible" for average family with a budget toward HT. Keep in mind you n00bs that there are only 2 reasons to get a large screen: 1- boast in front of ur socially impaired douches and their mates 2- setup for multiple watchers with a correctly filled FOV.

21:9 is great for movies....I'd absolutely love to see LOTR or The Hobbit on this in 4K without the black bars! But it would kind of suck for anything less than 21:9......most of the screen space would be wasted on the black bars! No some real innovation: get the TV to fill unused screen space with something else

There's a non curved Samsung version selling at Best Buy for $40,000 so I would guarantee the price for this TV to be about $45-50,000. Only the very rich or foolish will buy this especially when there's no 4K content.
