Pretty sure the article said 300 to 1 contrast ratio, which is awful. Also, I'm not so sure the PS4 or Xbone can run in super wide screen like this. I'm pretty sure they are limited to 1920 x 1080.

I really like curved displays. The equidistant and consistent viewing angle really do make a big difference. I don't consider it a gimmick. However, I can't rationalize this for anything OTHER than games. Text on high density displays is just so much better.. I can't go back. If it incorporated a 120hz+ 1080p display then I'd buy it despite the resolution. If 60hz WQHD/UHD I'd buy it in a heartbeat even at twice the price.
