[citation][nom]phate[/nom]Huh? Perhaps, if you compare it to Android stuff found in the bargain bin at Walmart, but most cost-comparable stuff on Android is faster. Sometimes with the launch of a new product Apple is ahead, but usually not for very long.[/citation] er, no. Compare with info from another site. do a search on google for: htc-one-s-reviewinternational-and-tmobile
Battery life: iPhone4/4S has the smallest batteries - but the phones easily are top performers.

iPhone4S - battery life is better than anything. The HTC Once X and SGSIII are almost as long lasting.
WebBrowsing Wifi, iPhone 4S = smokes SGSIII
BrowserMark - most Android 4 phones are faster (about 15%) over the iPhone 4S. All are far faster than the phones from a year ago.

GLBenchmark 2.1 Egypt: iPhone 4S = 2nd, SGSIII, HTC One X and everything else is easily slower.

Same thing for iPad 2 and iPad3... top battery life and overall faster GPU.

On that same site, look up the Nexus7 review - which includes other tablets. For GLBenchmark, iPad2 / 3 are the top 2, period. 60fps vs 56~40fps Asus Transformers or Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 at 30fps.

So when you talk about A being faster than B, why not base it on some facts, rather than assumptions?
So as of today, AUG 2012 - 1+ year old iPad2 is still one of the fastest tablets on the market with about the best battery life.

In 9 months, iPad 4 comes out. In 3 months new iPhone 5 and Win8 devices will be out.
Not expecting much change from the Android or MS to change much in the performance side.

[citation][nom]amdwilliam1985[/nom]Nope, not pretty much anything.1) Plug in your phone to USB port.2) Drag and drop music/video.3) Unplug and enjoy your music/video(any codec). All the people I know with iPhone has the same generic boring ringtone, lol Apple won't even allow you to set your own mp3 as your personal ringtone.[/citation]
Not wmv, though. At least not with 2.3.7.

I'm not sure if you're kidding or not but I'll pretend you're not. If you want android features why not get an Android phone? ...would make trolling harder but what the heck? Um...something like the SGS3 would do...I don't think there's any better out there right now.

Wrong, simply wrong, IMO. iOS will not become irrelevant until people no longer appreciate simplicity and consistency. As much as I now appreciate Android, it offers neither. Simplicity and consistency is what iOS offers and that's a powerful incentive for a lot of intelligent people. However, having created the SGS3 (which is a close to perfect as any) and their other coolnesses Samsung already stands out...there's a reason Apple is targeting Samsung and that's because  Sammy is real serious competition, unlike most the other android players. Okay, Asus with its Transformer (Prime & Infinity) is no joke either but has far from the
symbiotic hardware & software relationship Apple enjoys.

Interesting analogy, I can see some of that but would add that Apple's point-and-shoot offers the simplicity that oh so many (highly intelligent) are attracted to. Not because they're too dumb to figure out a DSLR but because they don't want to use their mental skills figuring out a camera (or a phone). A neuro-surgeon that chooses iOS isn't, by definition or choice...an idiot. She's just chosen to save her mental abilities for the truly important and would like for something as ubiquitous as a phone to be as simple to use as possible. This is iOS' attraction. So, don't hold your breath waiting for all iSheep to wake up...like I did. iOS is still incredibly easy to use. Apple is very good at making complex technology very easy to use and to the non-geeks (most of the world) that's a big selling point. You have to be looking for something better (or relying on a geek's advice to realize Android IS the answer. I'm pretty swift (though I often clown here) and it took me a while to be convinced.

I finally chose Android's complexity (and customability) over iOS' proven quality, simplicity, and consistency. ...simple preference. An analogy that I like to use is that a automechanic may prefer to build his ride's engine, but that doesn't make everyone else that prefers not to an idiot. The SGS3 is the only phone, so far, to make Android's complexity attractive enough for me. It caused me to sell my iPad3, spend $600+ on an Transformer Infinity & dock only to again, appreciate what people see in iOS. Asus' hardware/software combination has nowhere the native polish that Apple offers (though the hardware itself is awesome). You have to poIish it yourself and deal with the bugs or work them out yourself. Think everyone wants or should have to do that? In example, trying to use the to the Infinity+dock to type this is an exercise in frustration (a $600+ exercise in frustration, I might add) ...bet it would be easier with an iPad and it's wireless keyboard, eh? Let's hope an update sorts that out. SGS3 and Asus Transformer Infinity+dock...two vastly varying ICS experiences. All Android implementations are not created equal and, therefore, not superior to iOS, IMO.

Amen to that bro.

For me, despite some of glitches Android has (that iOS doesn't) Android wins, as I find that I have more in common with the automechanic. Let's just not pretend its the perfect manna from heaven that so many here purport it is.

Now, about that update...
