Hi,

I have a SanDisk 128GB USB drive, and both USB A and USB C ports can be used with my PC, however, on my Huwaei Mate 10 Pro, the drive won't be recognised through the USB C port, only if I use a USB A-->C adapter with the drive's A port and my phone will it be recognised.

Anyone else run into this issue/know any solution?
Thanks

I think your flash drive is formatted to NTFS.

That's why it doesn't show up in your phone.

Your drive has to be formatted to FAT 32 in order to be visible in portable devices.

The drive is exFAT formatted. Like I said, if I use a USB A--> C adaptor, my phone will recognise the drive through the USB A side, just won't recognise the drive if I plug the USB C side directly into my phone.

The drive really works with the adaptor, reads/writes files without an issue.

Phone charges at normal speeds; supercharge, quick-charge, regular 1A-2A charge.

Phone reads/writes without an issue when connected to my PC with a USB cable.

Considering the drive works with the adaptor to my phone, I suspect its more the drive at fault here.
