I bought a Chinese 250gb nvme USB drive. Super duper tiny. And hits 890,000 Kbps read speed with USB 3.1 and ASUS USB boost. Was like $70. The 500gb model was slightly faster too. And under $150.

It's slower and more expensive than the model it's replacing, yet almost certainly less expensive to manufacture. Is it such a niche product that this doesn't matter?
