Approximate Purchase Date: End of the month

Budget Range: I would like to stay around $1500 but i can go up to $2000!

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming, Video/Audio editing (lightly)

Parts Not Required: Monitor 1920x1080 Samsugn BX2431 (awesome monitor would recommend) Keyboard (G19 would also recommend) mouse (g9x would again, recommend)

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg as always (NCIX for case)

Country of Origin: Good ole' USA!

Parts Preferences: Sandy Bridge, Asus motherboard, R3 case

Overclocking: OFC! (YES!)

SLI or Crossfire: No, always upgrade to 1 next-gen card.

Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: I want the GTX 570 because i fold@home sometimes, also need cuda

I would go with noctua but i like fractal's color and i want it to match... (i have nothing against nocuta..) and fractal fans are just like noctua's

I will get an ssd but not now. I am waiting for the REVO Drive x3 to launch

All in all it costs around $1600

I am also getting some black sata cables because the ones that come with the board are.. baby blue? not gonna have that.

I heard somewhere that the prices on the i7 2600k were going to be very cheap at micro center. Might want to check that out. Are you going to get two 570s? Or one 580 and upgrade to another later? Just an idea. You're the pro here.

And for RAM. Are you looking for 4 or 8 gb? The g.skill ripjaw X has 8gb for $90 on newegg which sounds pretty cheap to me.

Ok ill check out micro center's deals. Ill prolly get two 570s.. I don't know though. Maybe just one 580.. that is one of my "i don't know" type things.

4GB and i might go with some mushkins.

hey joel, i am hoping to get up to around 4.6-4.7 GHz and i personally don't like the hyper 212+ and for this overclock, i am only going for the best. I have a friend who has a hyper 212+ so i made my own judgements.

Corsair has an 8 year warranty, and i want my PSU to last atleast 2 builds (or 3.. prolly not though)

like I said, once the revo drive x3 comes out i am getting it as a system upgrade just the small 128 gb one or it is 180? yeah i think it's 180

Well, to address the only unsolved question (RAM), I would toss up some G.Skill options, as they are always the favorite of this forum.

I'm guessing you'll want 8 GB's, and 2x4 seems to be just as cheap as 4x2 nowadays. The 7-8-7-24 seems as low of timings as most are offering,

You can drop down to 8-8-8-24 to save $20 or you can spend and extra $40 to get the RAM fan. Seeing what your other preferences have been, I doubt you'd jump for either of these. This is probably the RAM I'm going to go with for my own 2500K build.
