Sapphire R9 280 3GB No HDMI Video

Hey everyone,

I setup a new monitor mount for my 2 LG 25UM58-P 25-Inch 21:9 UltraWide IPS Monitors. I decided to hook up a high speed HDMI that I had to see if I could tell any difference. Once I connected the cable, I got a blank screen. I have the second screen running on display port that works as normal. After restarting the computer and messing with settings, and the computer recognizes I have the HDMI connected to the monitor, it wouldn't bring up the video. So I then reconnected the original HDMI and I have the same issue. I have tried another PCI slot, I have set all defaults in BIOS and on the card. I have uninstalled and installed graphics card driver along with AMD software. I have also tried another HDMI on the second monitor with the same issue. Any help would be appreciated!

Have you tried updating the graphics card's drivers?

I have went into device manager and did the update the driver by searching on the web. I also went to Sapphire website and installed the latest software from them.

I really don't know what the problem could be, unless it's something to do with the actual card. You might wanna get an adapter and use DVI or something like that.

Do I loose anything using a dvi adapter? Such as quality and FPS?
