You keep benchmarking Battlefield 1 in DirectX 12 mode. The game is unplayable with DirectX 12 because of stutter on all GPUs. Benchmark it in DirectX 11.

On unrelated note, the mobile version of your website is overwhelmed with ads, some of them are malicious exploits.
 
Vega may not be what people were hoping AMD would release, but it seems the most logical interim product to release at this time. There is no good reason for AMD to implement their Infinity Fabric in their graphics line products unless they were planning to use it for their APUs and for multi-chip packages, much like how EPYC server chips implement multi-chip packages that operate transparently as a single device. Once AMD can get away from using large, monolithic GPU dies, they can become extremely competitive in the graphics card market, being able to gang many smaller and cheaper dies together to give performance that NVIDIA will not be able to touch with any of their single monolithic die products. Plus, because the Infinity Fabric will not require the dies to operate in a Cross Fire style configuration, multi-GPU from NVIDIA won't present as a viable alternative.

Cheaper prices is heartwarming. Right now, I am disgusted by the prices Vega is getting. nVidia manages to get cards to their core constituency, i.e. gamers, but not AMD. I'd be chilled more if my R290 hadn't bit the dust, but now I can't even power my UHD display at UHD. If it wasn't Freesync, I'd have jumped the AMD ship a while ago.
 
Consumers caused this problem. When Radeon cards were both lower cost and faster than similar GeForce cards, the ignorant masses still bought more NVIDIA branded graphics cards. Bitcoin also didn't help. The first run of miners scooped up large quantities of AMD cards and when Bitcoin moved from GPU mining to ASIC mining, the used cards were dumped on the market, causing AMD to be left holding a large amount of unmovable product. Messes like this can't be sorted out overnight and I don't blame AMD for trying to be cautious this time around.
