Sata AHCI controller driver

I have a Gigabyte F2A85X motherboard. So recently i was checking the Device Manager and saw that "Standard SATA AHCI Controller" driver was of 2006. Wanted to update it, but don't know where to download. Can this affect file transfer speed between the drives? Because every time i try to copy a file from the HDD to the SSD the speed is around 300MBpS for some 2-3 seconds, but then it goes down to 70 and stays so. Same thing with an external USB 3.0 HDD.
