Question SATA ports 4+5 not working.

Hi

This is another motherboard question.

I have just one SSD 970 PRO NVMe M.2 plugged into my Gigabyte Designare Z390 motherboard.

SATA ports 4&5 don't work for a normal HDD. I thought the NVMe shared the bus, regardless only one NVMe is plugged in.

Anybody have experience with this situation on this motherboard? Is this normal?

Totally normal.

If you needed the additional SATA ports to be active, you could use slot M2P (opposed to M2M), although you still lose one port.
