I had to recently wipe and format my SSD because damned sneaky virus. It detects that just fine since that is my OS drive. I have Windows 10 Home Premium 64 bit is that helps

my Mother board is a Gigabyte GA-990FX Gaming.

I also have a 2TB storage drive that is nowhere to be seen by the BIOS or Windows. I did everything possible.

And just like the title says it says SATA ports not present YET in the other section it says they are enabled.

Solution
If your HDD doesn't appear in BIOS, windows Disk Management, windows Device Manager and
sata port is enabled and not blocked by M.2, then only possible reason is -
either HDD is dead or not connected properly.

Yes, I have, and it said all ports are not present.

the SSD is a M.2. For me it looked like a 3 inch naked RAM chip but the connectors are on the shorter side

also the PC itself is only a couple years old

And you don't know model name? Nor capacity?

This one? Adata Ultimate SU 800 ?

My hard drive is plugged into Port 1. I had no problems until a virus forced me to wipe and reinstall windows. and that's how it was plugged in when the PC was shipped to me

nearly new HDD, but that means little, lol. So I'm going to try and plug it into all the ports except the blocked one. if that fails, I will have to get a new hdd and to be safe new cables
