Question SATA SSD not recognised (works in USB enclosure)

Verry odd one. I had an SSD in a USB enclosure and decided to connect it straight to SATA but it does not come up (not in Disk Management or Explorer). I've tried different internal power and a different SATA cable & socket. Simply will not show up. It's a Gigabyte Z77-DS3H motherboard.

Any ideas?

full system spec? list all the disk

OK, did a windows update and it apreaned. Very odd.
