SATA to USB HDD not showing up at all

I just bought a Kingwin SATA and IDE adapter to get some files from an old hard drive of mine but It is not showing up ANYWHERE. What I know:

The Hard drive fans are spinning

The external power cable is plugged in ( it is 3.5 HDD )

I've tried the cables on two different laptops, nothing on either one

I've tried two different Hard drives, still nothing

I went through disk manager but nothing shows up, only Disk 0 ( my C: drive is shown)

Try another adapter. Those SATA to IDE ones do not always work.

Also make sure you set the master/slave setting to whatever the instructions say to do.
