Doesn't work with software, doesn't work with the controller. I connected the 3 fans to the right ports on the hub, then connected the power SATA. On the first try I connected the 4 pin to sys_fans on the MB, as that didnt work with anything I then disconnected and tried without anything connected except the power SATA, still nothing. There are 2 other cables but as far as I know the motherboard doesnt have the port for them. Im just a beginner and dont know what else to try

This is needed to control the fan rotational speed from BIOS or 3rd party software. It does 0 for LEDs.

By any chance, do those wires look like so?

If so, and when your MoBo truly doesn't have the connector where to plug them (displayed on the right side), then you can not control the LEDs at all via MoBo software.

However, fans come with RGB remote and you need to use that remote to control the LEDs, when fans are plugged into the hub. Replace the battery inside the remote. It could be empty. Also, to pair the remote with the hub, you need to press the red lock button 5 times or more (this is written in the remote manual that you can download from the specs page).

No the MoBo doesnt have the 3 pin ones.
I tried the remote but it just wont work, I see it flashes light from the little transparent tip when I press a button but it does nothing, even when next to the hub without anything in between. I'll see if I can get a battery replacement for it and test it out. Thanks!

Did you pair the remote with the hub? 5 (or more) fast presses of the red Lock button.
If successful, fan will blink once.

If your PC case has reset button, you can use that to control the LEDs as well.
