I was replacing my laptop's (Lenovo L340 i5-9300h) RAM, I'm not that tech savvy this is my first time opening my laptop and I was following this tutorial video,

, I removed the ram cover, replaced the RAM without a hitch. Everything was going well until I put back the RAM cover and my hand slipped and the cover hit the motherboard and I saw a spark. There was no visible burn mark, I don't smell anything that's burnt and it still boots up and works just fine. Did I just mess up my motherboard unknowingly? will there be consequences that I will face someday because of this?

edit: nothing has happened so far, no BSOD and no performance issues. Everything's fine for now, thank God.
edit #2: near the area where I hit the ram has been heating up so bad when I put laptop under heavy load.

Possibly, you will have to wait and see. When working on a laptop the first thing to do is to turn it off, the second is to remove the battery. Then I (out of habit) push the power button to insure that any capacitors are discharged, although that may be unnecessary on laptops unlike desktops. Then do the work.
