Discussion SC/A FIBRE PORT CONNECTION TO PC (AUSTRALIA)

It says the fiber is connected to the ISP network.

The physical fiber is only part of the problem. The box you list runs ethernet protocol. ISP run GPON in most cases.

In addition if you look at the doc for the box it appears the tl-fc311b-2 connects to tl-fc311a-2. The only way this would work is if you have this other box on the far end of the in wall fiber and then plug that into the ISP router.

The ISP router meaning either the current BELONG Technicolor DWA0122BLN router (connected to the NBN box) or the secondary router (TP LINK) that is situated in my room?

I am a bit confused on what you mean, I do apologise haha

The belong router connects

fiber----ont--belong

The only way you make it work with the box you talk about is.

fiber--ont--belong---ethernet--tl-fc311a---fiber#2---tl-fc311b---ethernet---your pc

You must be able to find the other end of the fiber and it must not be connected to the ISP network. Also note there it needs a "A" model of the box to connect to the "B" model you listed.

If the fiber goes

fiber--ont--belong
+
+++++fiber #2 to your room.

You can not use the tplink box you are talking about. You must have a devices that does a similar function to the ONT. It is highly likely the ONT is running GPON and most times isp will not give you the information to configure your own device even if you find one to buy.
