Scam suspicity in email

Hello. I participated in the G2A giftcard giveaway. I don't know when it ended, but I received a message from someone named Joshua Simenhoff who is supossedly from Tom's, and he wrote me <email address removed by moderator> to respond to that message to confirm my mail adress....he said I won a 25$ giftcard....so I ask you .. is this person even a Tom's Hardware Asistant Community Manager? IS he authorized to do that? I responded before I thought about asking here....I hope I don't get any viruses or my info is stolen..normally I should not get infected just by opening the email and replying to it, but who knows....

Yes he is a legit part \ member of the Tom's Hardware Staff.​

I'm sure Joshua Simenhoff would have a tomshardware.com/.co.uk email address, defo not a gmail one in a different name.

Huh, I thougt I was scammed.....I guess I can congratulate my self...just won a 25$ giftcard...also...why doesn't he have an email of this type : xyz@tomshardware.com or smth? jsimen...@purch.com made me suspicious...purch is a beverage or smth...thx blackbird, you made me not to wrry anymore...

Thx everybody...I never won anything, until now.....I thought I was cursed or smth, you know, it happens....BTW, everybody get ready for the EVGA 17th annyverssary giveaway, I hope we all win at least a commplete gaming system if not THE laptop....Blackbird, if you can, please close the thread...if not, I ask a moderator to do that.
