Hi all,

Ok, so this is a simple question..

I've a scanner that has a scsi and a usb interface. I'd like to use the scanner from either of my two systems. So here's the simple question. Can I hook up the scsi interface to one system and use the USB interface to the other.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know I could network the sytems together, but I don't have a network set up yet.

Anyone know what kind of problems this configuration might cause?

thanks in advance.

Yep,
with the scsi setup Iam sure you have to have it turned on before boot up and drivers installed, if its not on or not there at boot it won't reckonize it. No problem.
The usb on your other machine, you should as mentioned above have the appropriate drivers installed(no other drivers for this device should be installed, same for scsi)and it should be alright, just not hooked up on both machines at the same time.
