Scared to death with A7V8X-X!!!!!

Hi!

With all the readings I did with the A7V8X-X, i am really getting scared of
this board!! The problem is that I already ordered (read, it is too late to
cancel!!!) a new system with this board... Here are the specs:

A7V8X-X mobo
Crucial DDR400 512megs
Maxtor 80GB
Geforce 4 Ti4400
AMD Barton 2500+
300W powersupply.

Am I going directly into trouble?????

I bought this same board about 6 months ago and have a similar configuration
to yours, only I have AMD 2200 XP CPU and so far, it works fine. Its a good
board.What gave you the impression you could be running into trouble if you
get this board? I haven't heard anything bad about it.

? What're you scared of? The a7n8x-x is one of the best boards around. I
have a number of them, never had a problem ever - I'll keep building
machines with it until something else comes along which can rival it. So
far, hasnt happened.

The OP said he had a A7V8X and not the A7N8X - these boards have
different chipsets (Via and nForce respectively) and so have their own
issues.

For me the A7V chipset has not troubled me at all. I have 2 PCs: one
is the A7V333-X and the other with A7V8X-MX

I have had not trouble with tme at all. They are solid boards.
