Question Scared to use 12 pins on asus prime z790 p

Hi, I had some bad experiences in the past with connecting 12 pins on the motherboard, I fried my ssds. Now with this particular one I don’t know if I should do it. I currently have i9 13900k. I am very scared to not burn anything else’s for

What is 12pins ?
Do you mean Nvidia specific PCIE power connector (12VHPWR) ?
It connects to graphics card (not motherboard).

I found the solution thanks, just plugged it in and worked
