Scheduled Task Cannot Run

XP/Pro 32bit SP3

I am logged on with ADMIN, (there is no password for this logon, but the scheduler is asking me to enter one, so I just press enter). The task is a .bat file. When I click finish for creating the task, I get this error

The error shown "0x80070005" doesn't seem to apply to what I am doing. The articles I read have nothing to do with scheduling a task.

Thanks for the reply. So, if I understand this correctly, when the scheduled task runs, it will ask for a password, which means it will not run, unattended, eg; if I schedule it for early am, I have to be there to enter the PW ?

I found a solution to the PW problem.
I set up a new task without a password.
Checked the Box for "Open Advanced TAB, when I click Finish".
Checked the "Run only if Logged on" Box.

Still received the error msg saying the task may not run,
but the Task did run, when scheduled, and without a PW.

Glad you fixed it, but you should never run any admin account without a password. It's a huge security risk.

I should have been more clear in my post. I set the admin account up puposely without password, have two others with password, just to test the reaction of whether or not password or no password would cause the scheduled task to ask for a password, before executing. Deleted the no password acct !
