Not to mention the fact that with better processing environment your phone would already be near quantum computer level. But let's focus on the important stuff, like whether or not YouTube uses 90% of your battery while your quite obviously spending your time picking your nose and driving to endanger.

Hm... let's see... diamond semiconductors were made.
The point is to use diamonds for allowing computer chips to run at much higher frequencies without melting into oblivion (which would probably also result in much more efficient methods of cooling in the process).
The technology/technique to incorporate diamonds as a material into computer chips existed for decades though.

You sir should pay more attention to our history and technological progression/breaktrhoughs (at least those that were made available to the public).

Thing is that diamonds are extremely efficient at withstanding extremely high amounts of heat if the chips operate at really high frequencies... that would also allow for much more efficient cooling and probably methods allowing for more efficiency in energy consumption which would benefit batteries as well.
Although, I agree that the battery industry has been stagnating for roughly 2 decades now and needs a serious kick in the proverbial backside.

 
The battery industry reminds me of the Hard drive industry. Sure, stuff got marginally faster. But for over 10 years, we were running the same 'ol 5400-7200RPM hard drives. Velociraptors had 10k-15k. There was no real progress except in terms of storage. It took 10-15 years for them to finally realize the HDD's were the current bottleneck 😛 With SSD's in tow, and more powerful ones on the way, it's like we've removed a chain that was restraining the future in computers.

That's basically the problem with the computer industry at large.
While computers have progressed in a certain sense, (they are more efficient, faster, etc.), the progression is extremely slow though and what is seen in the consumer market is nothing more than revisions of pre-existing technologies for some time now.

Had diamond as a material been incorporated into computers as means of thermal efficiency and all other prospects say 20 or 25 years ago... I would THEN say how it's an innovative approach.
If Graphene was also incorporated in chip production 2 to 5 years after the paper of it was published, by now we would effectively have a hybrid of silicone/diamond/graphene.

The HDD industry on the other hand is a bit pathetic.
SSD's as a technology is VERY old, the SSD drives however have been out in the market for over 2 years now and there has been practically no discernible drop in prices (regardless of how companies and morons at large tout that smaller manuf. process will mean easier/cheaper production and lower costs).
I'm sorry, but what I see in the 'market' is technological stagnation and toying in obscurity.
Revisions upon revisions upon revisions, with minute 'jumps' here and there for the sake of it.
 
Hey maybe this will get more women interested in computers! Instead of the "It had Windows on it, that's all I know" we can actually get some real information out of them.

you don't overclock a quantum computer
 
I think that me looking at a picture of the diamond they used influenced its movement. It would be nice if they started focusing on something real instead of things like quantum computing and string-theory....
 
Man if they have quantum technology inside of a rock imagine what they could do 10 years from now with quantum technology implanted into us. Makes me glad I live in this awesome generation to see all the amazing things created and produced.
