Well, at least here in Vegas. Talked w/ a SPCS rep at Best Buy in
Summerlin, and he claims there is a 2-3 week waiting period due to backlog
from the factory(ies). Anyone else hear about this? Sure enough, I called
around and can't find one anywhere! 🙁

Rumor has it that Sanyo right now had a serious shortage of screens,
and they were awaiting an order to arrive form the screen mfg (that's
what I'm told).

2-3 week does seem about the right timeframe.

It's listed as available at http://www.intelenetwireless.com at $124.99
after rebates. 1-800-886-9820 and they could confirm its availablity.

It's too bad there is no more PCS stock. Learning that SprintPCS is sold
out of one of its more expensive phones that has the capability of using
SMS, Vision, Picture Mail, and Ready Link might affect one's view of the
stock.

What if it's not SPCS's fault, but the manufacturer's fault?

Wait, I forgot - as far as you're concerned, everything's SPCS's fault.

The 5500 uses the 2.1 inch screen, rather than the 1.8" screen of the
8200.
