I scratched my mobo while instaling my HSF, the scratch went over about 2 circuts on the pcb. I still went on and connected everything else and the mobo didnt post. I thought the scratch is what killed the mobo but i want a second opinion. Any enlightment?

IF you trace the circuites to the next solder point on each end, you can solder in jumper wires. Or, you can use a conductive pen to connect them, if you lightly sand off the protective coating near the break. After your done, put a little clear nailpolish, or whatever else you have handy, over the repair.

How deep is the scratch? Crash' fix will work unless it's too deep. The average MB these days is a 6 or 7 layer sandwich.
