Hi,
When I leave my computer running for a few hours my screen gets very dark. The only way I've found to solve this is to reboot every 2-3 hrs.
Tried changing power option settings but no dice. Case is properly ventilated and GPU drivers are updated regularly.
Thanks

Windows 11 (64 bit)
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8700K CPU @ 3.70GHz 3.70 GHz
Asus Prime Z370A
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

BIOS version for your motherboard? Make and model of your PSU and it's age? make and model of your monitor?

You might want to try and use DDU to remove all GPU drivers(Intel, AMD and Nvidia) in Safe Mode, then manually install the latest GPU driver sourced from Nvidia's support site in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

Bios: 3004
PSU: Fractal Design Newton R3 800w (bought 2015)
Monitor: Dell SX2210 (bought 2009)
Although the monitor is an antique I doubt it's the culprit as rebooting the PC temporarily fixes the problem. I've kept because it's a glossy screen which, for some reason, they don't seem to make anymore.
PSU is old but I tested it last year with a multimeter and voltage was still on specs. Will test it again just in case...
Will try a clean driver install and report back

Ran DDU in safe mode, manually re-installed driver and Nvidia control panel, adjusted settings as before.
So far been up and running for about three hours without the dreaded dimming syndrome. Still early but I'm optimistic.

Note: I use Driver Easy to automatically update my drivers, wondering if that could have caused the problem.

You have to ask how they make their money.
Direct from Nvidia is the best way.
Even then, it might be a good idea to uninstall the Nvidia experience.
I only have the legacy Control Panel installed.
I have no choice, as previously mentioned, I need to adjust settings elsewhere than directly on my monitor.
