Question Screen flashed and computer is running super-fast and smooth

This post will sound weird. I'm trying to figure out what happened. Since I've had Windows 11 installed, my system was running poorly. You would think having an Intel 9900K with a 3070TI GPU and 32GB of Ram would give you a fast and fluid system. Nope, that wasn't the case. Even with Windows 10 it felt a bit sluggish but even worse with Windows 11. 2 hours ago, my screen flashed, and a few pop-ups came on the screen I could not tell what it was. Since that happened, everything is running smooth. I was in Steam browsing and now that seems to be SUPER smooth. Anyone point the finger to what this might have been or if my PC will go back to being sluggish after a restart? This is really weird.

I wonder, is it possible something GeForce Experience updated or optimized on update?

I'm not sure about GeForce. I do know since windows 11, I've had pop ups come out on my screen. They are too fast to catch. Recently while on steam those pop ups happened again, and my computer is super fast.

Did you manually set your screen to use 240 hz in windows before?
