Hello everyone, I am having a really annoying issue that has been happening a lot recently, I have only seen it occuring in CSGO and Arma 3.
What happens is after 5 to 10 minutes of playing my screen will start to flicker random colors and it will happen again after another 5 minutes and sometimes it just happens randomly. It almost seems like it only happens while I look at something in specific, for example the grass, a certain wall or sometimes the sky. The color that is displayed is also the same color as the one I am looking at for example if it happens while looking at the sky the color that is flickering will be blue. It only occurs for about 5 seconds, sometimes 10. it also only happens in game, does not happen in menus or title screens.
I have a gtx 780 installed and two monitors. I do not believe it is the componets or cables, I am pretty sure it is software related and I cannot figure out what is causing it. Another thing is when the flicker happens it occurs on both of my monitors even if the game is only being displayed on one of them. If you need any more details please ask and I will be happy to provide them, I would appreciate any help to solve this issue as it is really annoying.

I have checked multiple times and my drivers are up to date, and It could be a heat issue, if it is how would I fix that. However it seems to only happen on certain games, it does not happen in BF4 or other games it has only occured so far in arma 3 and csgo.

Well basic maintenance first. Make sure you have cleaned out any dust from the machine, especially on any fans or what have you. Make sure you dont have any of your exhaust blowing directly into a wall or some other restrictive service for airflow. You can always check by making you case the ambient temperature of the room by removing the side panel for a while and then trying to play the game and see if you have the same issues. If you do, you are most likely going to want to change your fan setup inside the case. Have cross blowing air air (intake to exhaust and preferably, let the heat do the work and have it rise out of the case) If you are still seeing the same problems, you may want to go with bigger fans at a lower rpm. This reduces power usage(which reduces heat) and then the bigger fans will push more air across your system(which is better for circulation, which reduces heat)

If you determine it isnt a heat issue, you may want to roll your drivers back on your graphics card to see if you can get some stability. From my experiences, you seem to be having an issue of 1 of the 3 following things. 1. Software(drivers, et. al.) or game software(which you can peruse the system logs to see if it is throwing errors.) 2. Hardware, which the obvious choice would be your graphics card. Although this seems unlikely because other games seem to work alright. Maybe try throwing an old gpu in your machine and see if you still see the symptoms. 3. heat/airflow, which has been covered here.

Let us know how your troubleshooting goes.

Cheers,

I have tried cleaning dust out of the fans and did not seem to help that much, sometimes it happens sometimes it doesnt. I am not sure what it is but it is really confusing. Everything is up to date as well. I will try downloading a temperature program and see what the temperature is. Hopefully we can figure this out.

Thanks,
Ethan

I downloaded a program called OpenHardwareMonitor and saved the GPU temp report.
| +- GPU Core : 46 44 49 (/nvidiagpu/0/temperature/0)
As you can see while playing it did not even go over 50 degrees. (The video glitch even occured during the test) So I am confused, hopefully you can explain what is happening?
