Screen Freezes then Pink or green or grey Background come up with lines on it

Well Basically every time I play a game my screen tends to go like a green colour sometimes pink and other colours With lins going through it... Ive tried looking up a solution for this but no one seems to be getting the same problem. Its only started to do this about 4 weeks ago. When I play a game it glitches out then Goes to this screen thing then crashes then even sometimes goes to a blue screen owith a bunch of writing on it or even my computer cuts out!. Today i randomly cut out and had a look as my side panel isnt on and realised my cpu fan wasnt spinning, Could this mean i need a new cpu or graphics card? Ive had problems after problems with this Damn pc I had also recently installed a new psu CX750M Corsiar. Please i need help Its starting to bug the hell out of me!!

What GPU do you have?

Is it overclocked?

Is it overheating?

Are the power cables plugged in?

Okay I have an XFX Amd Radeon 7870 DD GPU

It wasn't overclocked

Not sure about over heating sometimes it hit 70 degrees is this bad or not?

And yes all power cables are plugged in properly

Its all New to me as Ive only had this PC since Christmas!

It seems that it IS overclocked (maybe by accident). When I overclocked my old 7970 to far it would do the same thing.

I would download GPU-Z and check out the temps of the VRMs as well. Is the graphics memory overclocked?

It's very likely that you have a bad GPU and need to RMA.

i dont even know how to over clock it its flpping annoying when i play games about 5 mins later it glitches out
