Question Screen goes black and graphics card fans goes to full speed

So earlier today i was playing some games on my pc as usual and nothing was wrong. After a couple hours of playing my screen turned black and my graphics card fans (i think) went on full speed. The glass sidepanel was pretty hot (but it's always like that) so i decided to shut it off and wait for it to cool down. After about 10 min i tried turning it on again and launching a game and same thing happened. Does anyone know why this happens? I have a rog strix GTX 1060

Corsair rm650x
16gb 2666mhz Corsair ram
Asus strix z390-e mobo
500gb Samsung evo ssd
Corsair h100i pro rgb liquid cooler

No i did not check temps when it happened but when i started it again the second time gpu was att 50°c
