Question Screen goes black when changing the refresh rate ?

Hello

Monitor: Gigabyte M27Q 27" QHD 170Hz
GPU: AMD 6700 XT

When I try to change my screen refresh rate from 60 to anything else (120, 144, 165, or 170) the screen goes black and goes back to 60Hz after 5 or 10 seconds.

I don't know if the problem is the screen itself or the graphics card as the screen can go black sometimes by just launching a game which afterwards I need to power the screen on and off or reset the computer altogether just to get a signal again.

Is there anything I can do to solve this problem?

did it work before ? how long for?

Try a different video cable.
How is it connected to the monitor? DP, HDMI? DP is recommended.

Is the chosen resolution 2560 x 1440 ?

Update the firmware of the monitor if available.
Update the GPU driver if it's not up to date yet.

All drivers are up to date, I changed my DP cable to another one and the single was lost completly, tried to change to the original DP cable but the single did not return. Afterwards I switched to an HDMI cable and it works flawlessly, even games does not make the screen go black when I launch them. Does it narrow the problem to the screen's DP connector or the graphics card DP connector?
