SCREEN GOES INTO COLORED LINES AND FREEZE - Gigabyte G41MT-S2PT -

hi guys

recently i made a lil build for normal use ..
G41MT-S2PT
E8400
2GB DDR3 Kingston
and no GPU yet

i ran the system on the onboard VGA which is G41 Chipset Graphics cuz the E8400 doesn't have an integrated graphics .. after i log in the windows and the desktop is loaded and everything seems to be alright .. but minutes of normal use such as folders/web surfing suddenly the screen goes crazy with colored lines and sometimes colored boxes and lines i mean like screwed screen if i got dat right and i heard the Gigabyte mobo is very Memory not-friendly and my first suspect is the DDR3 memory

please any solution guys and sorry for my bad lang

Go into bios and let the RAM run @ 1333 Mhz
Run memtest86+ afterward

i changed the multiplier to the higher value and the highest i got is 1066 ?!

did i made something wrong ?!

and memtest86 is now running ..

My apology for not looking into your motherboard, yes it's fine to run at 1066. Just let memtest do its job for a few hours and see how many errors it has, if any.

memtest86 passed @1066

now i went little deeper in the bios and i got the freq @1333

and the memtest86 is now runing

its alright dude .. its my apology for telling u dat the freq of 1066 is the maximum i can get

i went little deeper in the bios and found the right multiplier dat boost up the freq to 1333

after i ran memtest86 @1333 .. at the 54% of process the screen went like MATRIX screen .. numbers and letters everywhere and some colors .. its totally miss .. what dats mean ?!

Sounds like Video Memory Issue or driver issue

Update Video Drivers

Test video Card by putting it through it paces if it a video card issue you should be able to find a game or web app site that will utilze video functions that screw up your card.

If your running multiple ram - test each stick separately

Hope that video card driver fix your issue

There's no VRAM since it's onboard graphic, therefore the RAM itself would be the VRAM along with the possibility of soldered VRAM. You could try to find the latest chipset driver, but it's an old platform so I don't see that being very easy to accomplish.
I would suggest trying another stick of RAM since memtest demonstrated that it had issues. Alternatively, you might have to rebuild the PC as it is aged.

i'll buy another ram stick sometime tomorrow cuz i believe dat the ram is the main issue
