Screen intermittently blacks out when on a game

Hi, so I've had this issue on and off since building my PC. Specs are: Ryzen 5 2600, Asus Strix RX 570 4GB, 16GB 3000MHz Corsair Vengeance DDR4 RAM, MSI B450 Tomahawk, Corsair CX550M PSU. My monitor is the Acer KG251QFbmidpx 24.5 Inch if that helps. The drivers I am using is 18.10.2 for my RX 570. Basically sometimes my monitor will black out intermittently, only whilst running a game. And it seems to do it more when I'm moving my mouse or clicking anything on screen. Before I have just reinstalled drivers and it works but it happens again after a while. I am also using a Displayport cable if that makes any difference. Thanks in advance.

Same problem here, and it seems to be quite common going by a google search. I've an Acer RT280K monitor on a display port with a RX580 8Gb card and most games are now suffering badly. Blackouts last about 5 secs with the game continuing in the background, which can be a bit inconvenient. Some games seem to be more affected than others. I've ordered a new cable as per SgtScream's suggestion. Will return with result as and when.
