so ive had this issue on my last pc and now my new one. i recently had my last mobo go out on me on 10/6/16 it stopped allowed usb mouse and keyboard and tried loads of troubleshooting, so i decided its been 6 years ill build a new pc.

on old pc it would happen most commonly when i played WoW and skyped, screen would go black, come back on, and then my mic wouldnt work and then skype would crash. Occasionally it would happen when not skyping too.

*update* On New PC it would go black then come back on and just the skype video would crash. i would have other person reset video and it would work. Also has happened with skype closed while playing WoW.

I bought new:

~(same headset just the newer model) razer kraken 7.1 chroma ( i dint have the chroma)
asus

~ ASUS Z170-A LGA 1151 Mobo

~ Intel i7 6700k 4.0 Ghz Skylake LGA1151 (OC to 4.5Ghz stable 40-45 degrees celcius)

~ 2 x 8gb G.skill ripjaw 3200

~ 500gb 850 evo SSD

~ NZXT source 530 matt black case

~ corsair h100i v2 liquid coolin

~new keyboard and mouse (wired)

Used from older pc:

~850w thermaltake psu

~ cd/dvd drive

~ 2tb HDD

~ 1 140mm fans

~Microsoft life cam 5000hd

~ HTO Omega Striker 7.1 sound card

~Elgato HD Cap Card

~ Nvidia GTX EVGA 960 4gb FTW Edition

~ Asus 144ghz 1ms GTG 24" monitor

~ hanns-g 1600x900 monitor (dont ask, i was a scrub)

On newly built pc 10/17/16, it did it again on 10/18 when i was doing the same thing. playing my game and skyping. This time, when it came back, everything was fine except my skype video chat window i couldnt see the other person, had them reset their camera on their end and i could see them. then later that night when off skype, still playing my game, it does it again. that was with skype exited. Not sure if its headset compatibility with my game ? or hardware issue of some sort. (SIDE NOTE: Game is World of warcraft was installed in 2tb on old system, but new system its on 500gb SSD evo. Also i cant recall crrectly if this happened when i played other games too. i can only test it on new pc which means i need to install some other games first)

*Update* Tried GTA V on max settings except for shadows (idc for shadows) and no black screen at all. so im guessing it has somehing to do with wow? ********

**GPU TEMPS AND LOADS***

~GTA V on max settings with gpu temps and load here - https://gyazo.com/2ca0eb5a70f206e92e3837d5a25b4392

My only concern is that it only happnes when i play wow, so not sure if the PSU would be the cause if i can run other high end games fine. Then again, im not knockin that possibility because im clueless at this point

ran the program check HDD/SSD

EVO SSD (where WoW is installed) - https://gyazo.com/e32409c745570411f2f959f571d2830f

WD 2tb - https://gyazo.com/f09855e6634592d68b2c48675bb59268

*UPDATE* - this is the power supply that came with the case: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=6624658

**NOTE** in the image of my PSU i noticed it has separate connectors for PCI-E (the red plug in) and now that i think about it i put all my cables in the black spots. will that effect it at all? only thing is i dont think so because

A) ive played wow off and on since 2011 with that PSU and never messed with the PSU after it was built.

B) the black screen didnt start until i updated drivers earlier this year and played wow (i tried rerolling back and same thing happend and current driver is newer then those). i cant recall if ive ever played WoW on this new GFX card though

~ Nvidia GTX EVGA 960 4gb FTW Edition

~HTO Omega Striker 7.1 sound card

~850w thermaltake psu

~ 3 200mm fans and 1 140mm fan

~ thermaltake case (forgo the model)

~ Zalman aftermarket air cooler

~ Zalman 64 gb SSD

~ 2tb HDD

~ cd/dvd drive

~elgato hd cap card

~ microsoft lifecam 5000hd

~ Asus 144ghz 1ms GTG 24" monitor

~ hanns-g 1600x900 monitor (dont ask, i was a scrub)

~ wirelesss keyboard and mouse

im up for suggestions, and not sure if ive covered all the things ive tried.

Not sure if its that, but then again if i knew i wouldnt be here. i just tested it on GTA V max settings and played with and without skype opened and no crash at all. im thinking there is something up with WoW?

Sorry didnt say GFX card Evga GTX 960 4gb FTW

Yes before i played any game i made sure all drivers were up to date, and that includes gfx driver, and all wow addon are up to date and im not using any out of date ones.
