Screen Resolution adjustment

I am running Ubuntu 13.10 on my PC. I have a monitor supporting 1366x768 resolution. But Ubuntu is running on 1024x768 resolution. How can I get the original 1366x768 resolution? I have installed AMD display drivers for Linux but of no satisfactory result.

Ubuntu does not support 1366x768 resolution.

Ubuntu does indeed support that resolution, looking at a screen right now.

Click on "start/shutdown" button.
Choose system settings.
Choose displays.
set.

I did that. Only two options came for that. One is 800x600 and the other is 1024x768. No 1366x768 were found. I have tried to installed AMD Catalyst for Linux but it also does not supporting the system. I have Ubuntu 13.10 (64 Bit). Please help.

From a terminal. sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
This will reinstall your graphics.
